Manchester United were stunned by FC Copenhagen in a 4-3 loss on Wednesday night.

This loss sees Man United slump to last place in their Champions League group, reducing their chance of progressing to the round of 16 with just two group matches left to play.

While conceding four goals is not something he would want to get accustomed to, goalkeeper Andre Onana continued to show signs of improvement with a confident and resolute performance.

During the opening 42 minutes, United played some impressive football, scoring two goals and constantly bombarding Copenhagen’s penalty area.

Although Copenhagen launched some sporadic counter-attacks, Onana proved solid, saving a close-range strike by Rasmus Falk and racing off his line to claim a threatening cross from Mohammed Elyounoussi.

United’s game was fundamentally changed for the worse when Marcus Rashford was sent off three minutes before half-time.

At first, United looked confident even with 10 men, however, the cracks in their defence soon started to emerge.

Onana did well to race out toward the halfway line and clear a threatening cross to Elyounoussi, showing the legwork and confidence outside of the box that made him such an appealing transfer this past summer.

Still, Copenhagen would soon find the back of the net, capitalising on their man advantage.

On the stroke of half time, Copenhagen received a penalty that the United shot-stopper could do little about, with the home team levelling the score going into the break.

In the second half, Onana saved a surprise shot from distance by Denis Vavro moments before blocking a glancing header.

Unfortunately, it would be his defenders that would let him down, with Diogo Dalot switching off to allow Copenhagen through to score a third while substitute Roony Bardghji pounced on a loose ball to score the home side’s winner.

Throughout the match, Onana made four saves in total along with a punch and one high claim.

The Cameroonian continued to show strong legwork, completing 40 of his 48 attempted passes for an 83% passing accuracy.

Onana’s long balls also proved effective, with the 27 year old completing 11 of 19 attempts.

Notably, the goalkeeper got 60 touches on the ball, impressively outnumbering the majority of the outfielder players on both teams.

While it may have been a scoreline to forget, Onana showed further signs of improvement as he continues to ease into his role as United’s first-choice keeper.

Should his performances remain consistent, Onana should prove to be the goalkeeper that United requires.

Still, a lot depends on his defenders, who continued to show signs of vulnerability once things weren’t going United’s way.

Manchester United were defeated 4-3 by FC Copenhagen on Wednesday night in what was a box office match of football.

With a little less than three minutes on the clock, Man United launched a fiery counter-attack, with Scott McTominay slotting the ball through to Rasmus Hojlund who thumped the ball into the back of the net.

Although the home side tried to apply pressure after the restart, United comfortably retrieved possession and continued to dictate the flow of play in the minutes that followed.

10 minutes in, Alejandro Garnacho showed his flair as he dribbled around a Copenhagen defender to cut into the box.

Unfortunately, his pass to the edge of the box breezed past his teammates, bringing an end to a lucrative opportunity to extend United’s lead.

Less than five minutes later, Jonny Evans halted his run and dropped to the ground as he appeared to incur a muscular strain.

Unable to continue the match, he was replaced by Raphael Varane.

While the match was delayed for a time due to a medical emergency in the crowd, the break did little to distract United from the task at hand.

Almost immediately after the restart, Fernandes launched a rapid counter-attack, laying off the ball to Garnacho whose shot was saved by Copenhagen keeper Kamil Grabara.

There to collect the rebound was Hojlund, who scored his and United’s second goal of the match.

Moments later, the Dane showed his desire to secure his hat-trick, capitalising on a defensive error to hit a half-volley that was barely saved.

Off the ensuing corner kick, Harry Maguire connected well with the ball to send a well-struck header goalwards, however, his shot was saved as well.

32 minutes in, Aaron Wan-Bissaka appeared to be back at his best following his injury recovery, performing a sublime sliding tackle on Elias Achouri to extinguish a rare Copenhagen attack.

The right-back also continued to show strength on the attack, providing Rashford with support on the right wing and proving to be a constant nuisance to the Copenhagen defence.

Six minutes before the break, Hojlund broke through the defence and found himself up against just one defender and the keeper.

He attempted to sneak the ball past the keeper at the far post, missing by inches.

Moments later, the referee made his way to the touchline to review a potential red card off-camera.

While shielding the ball, Marcus Rashford was found to have stamped on the ankle of Elias Jelert, with the Copenhagen left-back’s ankle bending in an unnatural way.

A red card was brandished to Rashford, making life a little more complicated for an otherwise impressive United.

On the 44-minute mark, Copenhagen made the most of their man advantage, with Mohamed Elyounoussi scoring off a blistering counter-attack.

Still, with 13 minutes of added time, United would need to be at their best to protect their lead going into the break.

Two minutes into stoppage time, United showed no interest in remaining on the back foot as Bruno Fernandes’ pass narrowly missed the feet of Hojlund, who was perfectly positioned to secure his hat-trick.

While Elyounoussi was positioned to get on the end of an opportunistic cross and beat the offside trap, Andre Onana proved exactly how good he is with his feet outside the box, running upfield and clearing the ball out of danger.

Six minutes into stoppage time, poor luck struck again for United, with Harry Maguire’s arm brushing up against the ball to hand Copenhagen a penalty.

Diogo Gonçalves sent Onana diving the wrong way, putting Copenhagen level with United as the home crowd erupted.

Once the half-time whistle sounded, United would have no doubt been frustrated with the way the match unfolded following their impressive start to the match.

Erik ten Hag would clearly need to make some significant strategic adjustments at the break in order to cope with the one-man deficit.

Sofyan Amrabat came on for Christian Eriksen at the start of the second half to inject some extra energy into United’s midfield.

During the opening stages of the second half, United looked relatively unfazed by being a man down, controlling possession and dominating the midfield with a slow build-up play.

Six minutes in, Copenhagen looked to make the most of the little possession they had when Denis Vavro fired a long-range effort on goal which Onana was able to comfortably save.

Moments later, the Cameroonian shot-stopper was called into action yet again to save a glancing header.

United continued to exhibit strong passing in the midfield as well as some promising counter-attacks, however, delivering the final product one-man down proved challenging for the visitors.

In the 60th minute, Copenhagen unleashed another shot from outside the box which Onana coolly caught yet again.

Maguire sprinted back and threw himself in front of an Elyounoussi cross inside the box, saving his team from a dangerous attack.

Ultimately, the referee blew the whistle for offside.

In the 68th minute, the referee made his way to the touchline yet again to perform another VAR review.

This time, it was found that Copenhagen’s Lukas Lerager had handled the ball in the box, meaning that this time the penalty would be awarded to United.

Fernandes sauntered confidently up to the penalty spot and blasted the ball into the top left corner, putting United back into the lead.

On the 80-minute mark, Fernandes delayed taking a corner as angered Copenhagen fans threw objects onto the pitch.

While United did well to continue holding off the Copenhagen attack, they were unable to maintain their lead until the end as Leraged caught Dalot napping and hammered a volley into the back of the net to level the scoreline.

Four minutes from time, 17 year old substitute Roony Bardghji got on the end of a header to hit a left-footed half-volley past Onana to hand Copenhagen the lead for the first time in the match.

Just after five minutes of added time were shown on the board, United’s players circled the referee to draw his attention to a potential handball inside the box.

Upon review, the referee determined that the player’s arm was not stretched out far enough for a spot kick to be given.

Maguire then hit a thunderous shot past the keeper, only for the crossbar to deny him from scoring the equaliser. A foul had been given in any case.

In the dying seconds, Fernandes unleashed a shot from distance that was scooped up by the home team’s keeper.

Unfortunately, it was not to be for United, with a series of questionable referee calls and the struggles of playing with 10-men for most of the match leaving them unable to walk away with anything from this seven-goal thriller.

This loss sunk United to the bottom of Champions League Group A, putting more pressure on Ten Hag as he continues to struggle to turn his team’s season around.

Starting XI: Onana, Maguire, Fernandes, Rashford, Hojlund, Eriksen, Garnacho, Dalot, Wan-Bissaka, Evans, McTominay
Subs: Varane, Amrabat, Mount

Former England and Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole claims that he knows how Jadon Sancho and Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag can overcome their dispute while also unlocking the winger’s potential.

The feud in question started when Ten Hag decided to exclude Sancho from the matchday squad set to face Arsenal on September 3rd.

While Ten Hag made it clear that the 23 year old was omitted due to his poor performances in training, Sancho refuted this claim, taking to social media to defend his performances while claiming to have been made a scapegoat at the club.

The former Borussia Dortmund player has since refused to apologise to the United manager or make amends, prompting Ten Hag to exclude Sancho from first team training and even barring him from accessing all first-team facilities.

Yesterday, Sancho was removed from United’s first-team WhatsApp Group which is used to send key updates to all first-team players.

With the player continuously refusing to make amends, the situation has become so severe that Sancho is expected to leave United in January.

United have reportedly approached several clubs in an effort to offload the player, including Real Madrid.

Even though Sancho’s England teammates including Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, and Harry Maguire allegedly failed in their reported attempts to convince him to apologise to Ten Hag, Cole believes that he could indeed remedy the situation.

Cole believes that in order to overcome the dispute, both Sancho and the club need to reach a compromise.

“Jadon Sancho needs nurturing,” Cole commented, adding, “Jadon is a fantastic footballer particularly with the talent and quality he’s got, but he needs a little bit of nurturing and he might need a bit more maturity.”

While Cole admitted that things likely won’t work out for Sancho at United, he went on to say that he would like to speak with the 23 year old and his camp in an effort to guide him through this rough patch and get him back to his best on the field.

Given the history of player fallouts at United, with that of Cristiano Ronaldo still lingering in recent memory, Sancho’s talent alone may not be enough to save his career at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag would do well to remain firm on his stance and send a clear message as to what happens to players who choose to step out of line at United.

A report has claimed that the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund is looking to lure Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes away from Old Trafford.

Journalist Rudy Galetti claimed yesterday that the PIF is in the process of exploring a deal for the Portuguese playmaker.

If the report is to be believed, representatives of the PIF are due to enter into talks with Fernandes’ entourage in order to pave the way to future negotiations with the player.

In addition to being the majority shareholder at Newcastle United, the PIF also holds stakes in the four biggest clubs in the Saudi Pro League, namely, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli.

Since taking the captain’s armband off Harry Maguire, Fernandes has been subject to both criticism and praise in his leadership role at Man United.

Former United captain Roy Keane declared that he would strip the midfielder of the captaincy, taking issue with Fernandes’ body language during the 3-0 loss to Manchester City and concluding that he “is not captain material.”

Still, several other United legends have thrown their support behind the 29 year old.

Rio Ferdinand praised Fernandes for his performance in last weekend’s 1-0 win over Fulham, claiming that he stepped up just as he did in the win over Burnley earlier in the season.

“The captain stood up,” Ferdinand stated. “We needed a big performance, we needed a goal. Critical time against Burnley after the Champions League defeat, he stepped up. Today they needed somebody to step out of the shadows and get into the spotlight. That was him.”

Former United goalkeeper David de Gea also expressed his confidence in Fernandes, taking to social media to support the United skipper.

With former United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo joining Al-Nassr and the likes of Karim Benzema and Neymar following him in Saudi Arabia, it’s clear that no player is off-limits when it comes to bringing new stars into the rapidly developing league.

Taking that into consideration, United will need to remain vigilant should they hope to quash the PIF’s efforts to snatch up their skipper.

Former footballer Danny Murphy believes that Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay could play a role in re-establishing confidence in Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag following a torrid start to the season.

While both players have been subject to widespread criticism due to their poor performances over recent months, both Maguire and McTominay have improved their form, thereby giving reason to believe that Ten Hag’s coaching methods are proving effective in certain areas.

Maguire was easily one of Man United’s standout defenders in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Fulham, completing the most touches, passes, clearances, and blocked shots of all players on both teams.

United legend Peter Schmeichel was quick to take note of the centre-back’s emphatic performance, calling him “majestic” before naming him, Maguire, as his player of the match.

Although McTominay’s goal early in the first half was ultimately ruled offside (ironically because Maguire was deemed offside), he proved to be reliable in his central midfield role, also tracking back to help his defence with three clearances and two interceptions. (Sofascore)

Murphy wrote in his weekly column for The Daily Mail that both Maguire and McTominay’s performances against Fulham should be enough to earn them a spot in the starting 11 set to face FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

“Ten Hag will now know he can rely on Maguire and McTominay,” Murphy declared, continuing: “He should be hugely relieved they decided to stay at Old Trafford.”

Once Ten Hag arrived at United at the start of last season, Maguire saw his playing time greatly reduced, which may have been viewed as unexpected given that he was the club captain at the time.

This summer, it appeared as if the England international’s career at Old Trafford was all but over, particularly after he was stripped of the captaincy.

While Maguire was then linked with a move to West Ham United, he ultimately rejected the notion, opting instead to fight for a spot in the starting 11 yet again.

McTominay, who also struggled for game time, was also on West Ham’s radar, with The Hammers offering United a combined £60 million bid to sign both the Scottish midfielder and Maguire in a package deal.

Ultimately, United rejected the offer, feeling that the London club’s valuation of McTominay was too low.

Should Maguire and McTominay continue their fine form, Ten Hag may just feel the relief that Murphy described in knowing that the two former outcasts did not depart the club during the summer.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and football pundit Jermaine Jenas expressed his frustration with Manchester United winger Antony over his performance against Fulham on Saturday.

While Man United came away with a 1-0 victory, the team’s performance was largely underwhelming, with the team unable to assert any real dominance over the home side.

Jenas, however, felt that the Brazilian winger was to be held accountable for his performance in particular.

As reported by Express, Jenas slammed Antony for a seeming lack of effort, particularly when it came to his failure to defend against a threatening Fulham attack.

“Everyone on the planet knows what Willian wants to do there, he wants to drop his shoulder, cut in on his right foot and get a shot off,” the pundit exclaimed, continuing, “To just hang your leg out, put your team under pressure like that towards the end of the first half, it’s not forgivable.”

The former Spurs defender didn’t just restrict his criticism to Antony’s lack of defensive desire, however.

Jenas accused the 23-year-old winger of “killing” United’s attacks and having no impact on the game.

“How he has stayed on the pitch as long as he has I don’t know. Poor,” the retired footballer exclaimed.

Despite receiving a barrage of criticism, Antony has received backing from United manager Erik ten Hag.

Following the team’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle United in their Carabao Cup clash during the midweek, Ten Hag reaffirmed his belief in the player, claiming that he is the right player for the club.

While Antony only recently returned to the field following his brief absence amid his legal troubles, pressure is already mounting on the Brazilian to perform.

Considering that Jadon Sancho may no longer form part of Ten Hag’s plans, the likes of Antony and Rashford will need to step up their game in order to pull United’s attack out of the muck.

If not, United may just look to the transfer market in January in order to find a suitable replacement.

Manchester United managed to bring an end to a torrid run of results by scraping out a 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

While Man United’s attacking performance left a lot to be desired, save for Bruno Fernandes’s late winner, the team looked confident at the back, doing well to extinguish the home team’s attacking threat.

One player who proved particularly valuable at the back was Harry Maguire, a previously out-of-favour player who may just be proving that his career at United is not over just yet.

In the opening minutes, it appeared as if Maguire’s afternoon would be cut short after he suffered a facial injury after colliding with a Fulham player as he jumped up to win a header.

Fortunately, after receiving treatment, he was able to continue.

The centre-back soon proved to be crucial component of United’s defence, making several key clearances and tackles to maintain his team’s clean sheet.

Maguire looked particularly sharp during the second half, sliding in to block a threatening shot from Willian.

He also did well to jockey the ball away from Harry Wilson and João Palhinha, preventing another goalscoring opportunity.

Out of both teams, it was Maguire who had the most involvement in proceedings, leading both United and Fulham with 74 touches throughout the match.

He also led both teams in passing accuracy, completing 49 of 60 attempted passes to achieve an 82% passing success rate.

While not known for his attacking prowess, the former United captain made some notable long passes, completing six of his 11 attempted long balls.

In defence, Maguire led both teams yet again, making an impressive eight clearances and blocking two shots.

He also managed two tackles, while being dribbled past just once.

Maguire also showed strong physicality, winning seven of his nine aerial duels and two of his three ground duels.

While Maguire has long been viewed as a washed-out player, particularly after losing the captain’s armband, his performance against Fulham is the latest in a series of decent games that have shown that perhaps the England international has what it takes to become a regular starter yet again.

Manchester United struck late to secure a crucial 1-0 Premier League victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Barely a minute into the contest, Harry Maguire was forced to put the ball out of play as he collapsed in pain.

Once the medical team came onto the field to treat the centre-back, it became apparent that he suffered a knock to the face when he collided with a Fulham player when jumping up for a header.

While concern echoed around the Man United bench, Maguire ultimately looked to be in a sufficient condition to continue with the match.

In the minutes that followed, United managed to swing momentum in their direction, exhibiting a decent passing game that has been lacking for much of the season.

Eight minutes in, Alejandro Garnacho got on the end of a free kick, passing the ball to the middle of the box where it appeared that Scott McTominay had fired United into the lead.

Moments later, however, VAR was called into action to determine whether or not there was an offside.

With the VAR officials unsure of whether or not to call it offside after Maguire unsuccessfully reached for the ball, referee John Brooks decided to perform an on-field review, whereby he decided to disallow the goal.

15 minutes in, Andre Onana was called into action for the first time to save a blistering shot from Harry Wilson after he cut inside the box and curled the ball goalwards.

While the referee blew for offside, this would no doubt instil some confidence in the United shot-stopper as he looked to keep a clean sheet after several difficult weeks.

The visitors continued to put the pressure on Fulham, earning a corner kick when Jonny Evans tried an audacious scissor kick that saw the ball soar over the top.

Moments later, Bruno Fernandes got on the end of a counter-attack, delivering a well-struck shot from outside the box that was saved by goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

While Fulham had their fair share of attacking opportunities, they were unable to rattle the United defence, with Alex Iwobi’s shot seven minutes from half-time going well wide.

On the 45-minute mark, Willian came close to handing the home side the lead when his shot narrowly skimmed past the far post.

As the half-time whistle blew, it was safe to say that United had exhibited stability across the field that has been lacking for the majority of the season to date.

Still, Erik ten Hag’s side would need to up their attacking intensity and take more shots should they hope to come away with three points at Craven Cottage.

Two minutes after the restart, Garnacho exhibited some fancy footwork to beat two Fulham defenders and cut into the box, after which he fired a low shot that was saved by the Fulham keeper.

Following a Fulham free kick, United unleashed a rapid counter-attack in which Garnacho put in a ball to Hojlund that was deflected out for a corner.

57 minutes in, the home team threatened the United defence with some strong dribbling on the part of Willian and Iwobi.

Ultimately, it was Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Maguire to the rescue as both players put in sliding tackles to block two attempts from Willian just minutes apart.

Three minutes later, a glancing long-range shot from Wilson was on course to find the back of the net when Onana made an acrobatic save to keep the match goalless.

After the ensuing corner, Onana parried a thunderous strike by João Palinha to send the ball out for another corner, with United easily dealing with the threat this time around.

Two minutes later, it was Maguire who jockeyed the ball out of play as United’s defence was threatened yet again by a relentless Fulham attacking lineup.

After a goalmouth scramble, Diogo Dalot cleared the loose ball inches away from the goal line.

On the 63-minute mark, Antony was replaced by Facundo Pellistri following a subdued performance by the winger.

Three minutes later, Garnacho made a mistimed sliding tackle on Wilson to pick up a yellow card, with the Argentinian visually expressing disappointment with his rash decision-making.

With 20 minutes left on the clock, late addition Pellistri showed his awareness when he controlled a cross-field ball from Eriksen and aimed a shot at the bottom right corner of the goal, forcing a save from the Fulham keeper.

In the 78th minute, Christian Eriksen came off for Mason Mount, while Rasmus Hojlund made way for Anthony Martial.

Following a strong display of dribbling from Garnacho, Iwobi brought down the winger in a malicious challenge to prevent a goalscoring opportunity and hand United a free kick from a threatening position.

Fernandes stepped up to the ball and struck an impressive shot, guiding the ball over the wall and downwards toward the far post where Leno had to make a full-stretch save.

The subsequent corner saw Martial strike an overhead kick that was inches away from handing United a late lead.

Dalot was booked in the 88th minute for a sliding tackle, handing Fulham a threatening free kick on the edge of the box.

Ultimately, United could breathe a sigh of relief as Wilson’s wild shot flew out for a goal kick.

On the 90-minute mark, Fernandes broke the deadlock after a neat series of passes.

The United captain received the ball on his left foot from Pellistri, shifting it onto his right before slotting it into the bottom right-hand corner of the Fulham net to send the away end into hysterics.

As the referee blew the final whistle, United were clearly relieved to secure a long-sought after Premier League win.

While not yet back at the level of professionalism they exhibited at the end of last season, this away win will play a crucial role in advancing United’s season rebuild.

Starting XI: Onana, Maguire, Fernandes, Hojlund, Eriksen, Garnacho, Dalot, Antony, Wan-Bissaka, Evans, McTominay
Subs: Pellistri, Mount, Varane, Martial

Manchester United have been linked with Brøndby IF winger Nicolai Vallys.

Sport Witness claim that Man United are keeping close tabs on the 27 year old, who scored the winner in his team’s 2-1 victory over FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Superliga.

The publication claimed that Premier League rivals Aston Villa are also monitoring the player, while officials from VfL Wolfsburg, Real Betis, Marseille, PSV Eindhoven, and Southampton are believed to have been in attendance at Sunday’s match.

Danish news outlet Ekstra Bladet reported that PSV sent their chief scout to take a look at Vallys as well as others at the win over Nordsjælland.

Vallys has proven to be a key asset for Brøndby this season, scoring seven goals and bagging two assists in 13 Superliga matches.

He has also proven to be a strong passer of the ball, with an 83% passing accuracy, while also using his height of 187cm to his advantage, winning 67% of his aerial duels.

Recognising Vallys’ strong performances at club level, Denmark awarded him his international debut in July – an 18-minute cameo in a 4-0 win over San Marino in Euro 2026 qualifiers.

While Vallys is under contract with Brøndby until 2026, manager Jesper Sørensen admitted that he is not surprised by the surge in interest from other clubs.

“I don’t go about my day worrying about whether we can keep Vallys. But if there is someone else who thinks Vallys is more talented than us, then I can really understand that” Sørensen reflected.

The search for a new winger could be particularly important for United during the January transfer window given the crises faced by the club on multiple fronts.

Following his fallout with manager Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho is being increasingly expected to depart the club.

While fellow winger Antony has returned to the fold following a brief hiatus due to his legal troubles, the Brazilian has struggled to find his form since returning to the field.

Should United’s performances up front not improve by the time the January transfer window commences, a winger such as Vallys may be required to bolster the club’s options and place pressure on the underperformers.

Manchester United are expected to reignite their pursuit of Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries.

According to Sport Witness, this is because of Man United manager Erik ten Hag’s confidence in the player.

Ten Hag, who is familiar with Dumfries through their shared time in the Eredivisie, has reportedly taken an interest in the Dutch defender due to his athleticism and physicality.

United were linked with Dumfries this past summer as well, with The Peoples Person reporting that the club was considering making a move for the 27 year old after months of interest.

Still, even with Ten Hag going so far as to say that Dumfries would be an “upgrade” on United’s existing defensive options, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that a move was still far from being struck.

The Italian journalist explained that United were preoccupied with pursuing other players who were deemed to be higher-priority signings.

Dumfries himself also spoke out on his future at Inter Milan as well as the possibility of a transfer away from the Serie A club.

“I am very proud to play for Inter, these two years have been fantastic and I am very proud of what I have and what we have done,” Dumfries said before continuing, “Today football is very dynamic: players come and go. I have no reason to leave. I love Inter, but as I said before, we have to see what will happen.”

With the player leaving a glimmer of doubt over his future at Inter, Aston Villa entered the race against United for Dumfries’ signature.

Ultimately, neither club made a move for the Dutch full-back, despite Romano’s belief that he could be bought in the reasonable range of €25 million to €30 million.

Now, Calcio Mercato claims that if United would like to revive their pursuit of Dumfries, a bid of €40 million may be required to convince Inter to part ways with the player.

While Dumfries may appear to be a potentially suitable transfer, United may decide to look for talent elsewhere in January as the club remains linked to the likes of centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.
